The colors on this USGS map indicate how much the measured magnetic field differs from a reference model of Earth’s main magnetic field. The pink area west of Seneca Lake around Reading Center and the pink band east of the lake near Reynoldsville and the Finger Lakes National Forest are magnetic highs.
Both of these magnetic anomalies are in areas with multiple UFO sightings and reports of other unusual phenomena, including the UFO Wave of ’68, the Burnt Hill UFO Chase and reports of unexplained events in the national forest.
Is it possible that these differences in the earth’s magnetic field can attract or enable UFO and paranormal activity?
Have you had any experiences near these two magnetic anomalies that straddle Seneca?
I want to thank everyone for following, subscribing, and sharing. I’m grateful for the comments, emails and messages, and, especially, hearing all of your stories from around Seneca Lake.
There’s no video short this week. While I enjoy distilling these wild stories into roughly two and a half minute summaries, the full stories are longer, richer, and weirder. So I’ll be refocusing my time and energy away from producing weekly reels and toward finishing my upcoming book (cleverly titled “Seneca Lake Mysteries”). As time permits and inspiration dictates, I’ll continue posting and sharing stories, with some longer-form videos, quick photo/video posts (like this one), maybe some on-site visits around the lake, and perhaps a new reel from time to time.
Thanks again!
